Comparison guide. Reviewed by Alina McCann, MSN, APRN, AGNP. Updated October 13, 2026.
Dysport spreads a little wider and kicks in a day or two faster; Botox is more precise and dosed in fewer units. We carry Botox and Daxxify rather than Dysport, and this page explains why and when Dysport would be the better choice.
Botox (onabotulinumtoxinA) and Dysport (abobotulinumtoxinA) are the two most used wrinkle relaxers in the United States and they do the same thing by the same mechanism. The practical differences are small: Dysport diffuses a little more widely from the injection point and tends to show its effect a day or two sooner. Botox stays closer to where it is placed. Neither lasts longer than the other in a meaningful way.
4Ever Young carries Botox and Daxxify, not Dysport. This page is here because a lot of people search the comparison and deserve a straight answer, including an answer to why we chose what we carry.

| Typical market price | $10 to $15 per unit | $4 to $6 per unit |
| Units for frown lines | 20 | 50 to 60 |
| Cost for frown lines | about $240 | about $240 to $300 |

| Lasts | 3 to 4 months | 3 to 4 months |

Dysport's per-unit price looks like a bargain until you see the conversion. Clinical practice uses about 2.5 to 3 Dysport units for every Botox unit, so the per-treatment cost ends up roughly the same. When comparing quotes, compare the price for the area, not the unit.
Dysport's wider spread can be useful across a broad forehead or large crow's feet, where a smoother blend with fewer injection points is the goal. The same spread is a liability near the brow and around the mouth, where product drifting a few millimetres can drop a brow or weaken a lip. For a practice that does a lot of fine work, lip flips, gummy smile, brow lifts, chin dimpling, precision wins.
Botox gives Alina the tightest control and the most dosing data for medical uses such as migraines, TMJ and hyperhidrosis. For patients whose real complaint about Botox is the three-month clock, Dysport does not solve it; Daxxify, at about six months, does. Carrying those two covers both needs without a third product in the fridge. See Botox vs Daxxify.
Switching is simple. Tell Alina your usual Dysport dose per area and she converts it; most patients notice no difference beyond the slightly tighter result. Bring your last treatment record if you have it.
If a provider you trust works mainly with Dysport and you like your results, there is no medical reason to change. The products are more alike than different, and the injector matters more than the brand.
Prices are our list prices as of October 13, 2026 and are shown in full on the price list. Trial figures are averages from the cited studies; individual results vary. This guide is written by the provider who performs the treatments, so it reflects what we offer as well as what we do not.
No. We carry Botox and Daxxify. If you have had Dysport elsewhere, Alina can convert your dose; roughly 2.5 to 3 Dysport units equal 1 Botox unit.
Per unit it is priced lower, but it takes two and a half to three times the units, so a treatment usually costs about the same as Botox.
About the same, three to four months. Daxxify is the product that lasts materially longer.
Botox is one of the most popular and trusted cosmetic treatments in the world, and at 4Ever Young STL MedSpa in Creve Coeur, MO, it is one of our most requested.
Botox and Daxxify are FDA-approved neuromodulators used to temporarily relax targeted muscles that cause dynamic wrinkles and facial lines.
