Platelet-rich plasma (PRP) is made from a small sample of your own blood. It is spun to concentrate the platelets, which carry growth factors, and then injected into areas of the scalp where hair is thinning. Those growth factors signal shrinking follicles to re-enter the growth phase and produce thicker strands.
It works best for early to moderate thinning, including the pattern hair loss many men and women see from their thirties on. It does not bring back follicles that are fully gone, which is why starting early matters.
It works best where follicles are thinning but still present. For advanced loss with smooth, shiny skin, results are limited, and Alina will say so at the consultation.
