Threads are introduced using a delicate needle or a fine microcannula. Before treatment starts a topical numbing agent is applied and local anesthetic is gently injected into entry points for the threads.

Once the anesthetic has taken effect, the threads are inserted via blunt tip needles called cannulas. Once inserted into the appropriate layer of skin, cannulas act as anchors while the skin is lifted upwards. The excess thread is then are cut off and the needle removed.

Threads used in the procedure are biofriendly and will eventually be absorbed by the tissue underneath your skin. You will be able to resume everyday activities in a couple of days.
