Microinfusion Pre and Post Care
Pre and Post Care Instructions
Microinfusion is an advanced skin rejuvenation treatment that creates microscopic channels in the skin while simultaneously delivering specialized treatment serums directly into the superficial layers of the skin. Depending on the protocol used, microinfusion may help improve skin hydration, fine lines, wrinkles, acne, acne scarring, pigmentation, rosacea, dull skin, under-eye concerns, and overall skin quality.
Following these instructions will help maximize your results and support proper healing.
Pre Care
Avoid Sun Exposure (1 Week Before)
Avoid excessive sun exposure, tanning beds, and sunburn for at least one week before treatment.
Sun-damaged or irritated skin may be more sensitive during the procedure.
Stop Retinol And Exfoliants (5–7 Days Before)
Discontinue retinol, tretinoin, adapalene, glycolic acid, salicylic acid, benzoyl peroxide, and other exfoliating products.
These ingredients may increase skin sensitivity and irritation.
Avoid Chemical Peels And Laser Treatments (2 Weeks Before)
Avoid chemical peels, laser procedures, IPL, RF treatments, and other aggressive skin treatments before your appointment.
The skin should be fully healed prior to treatment.
Avoid Waxing And Hair Removal (1 Week Before)
Do not wax, thread, use depilatory creams, or perform aggressive hair removal in the treatment area.
Stay Hydrated
Drink plenty of water in the days leading up to your appointment.
Hydrated skin generally responds better to treatment and recovery.
Arrive With Clean Skin
Please arrive with clean skin free of makeup, sunscreen, lotions, or skincare products whenever possible.
Inform Your Provider
Notify your provider if you have active acne infections, cold sores, open wounds, skin infections, pregnancy, recent Accutane use, autoimmune conditions, or any medical condition that may affect healing.

Post Care
Expect Mild Redness
Most patients experience redness similar to a mild sunburn immediately following treatment.
Redness typically improves within 24 to 72 hours depending on skin sensitivity and treatment intensity.
Avoid Touching The Skin
Avoid touching, rubbing, scratching, or picking at the treated area.
Allow the skin to heal naturally.
Avoid Makeup (24 Hours)
Do not apply makeup for at least 24 hours following treatment.
This reduces the risk of irritation and allows the skin to recover properly.
Use Gentle Skincare Only
Use only gentle cleansers, moisturizers, and products recommended by your provider during the healing period.
Avoid active ingredients until your skin has recovered.
Avoid Retinol And Exfoliants (5–7 Days)
Do not use retinol, glycolic acid, salicylic acid, vitamin C serums, exfoliating scrubs, benzoyl peroxide, or other potentially irritating products for at least one week.
Avoid Excessive Heat (48 Hours)
Avoid saunas, steam rooms, hot tubs, hot yoga, and prolonged hot showers.
Heat may increase redness and inflammation.
Avoid Strenuous Exercise (24–48 Hours)
Heavy exercise may increase blood flow and prolong redness or irritation.
Allow your skin time to recover before resuming intense physical activity.
Avoid Direct Sun Exposure
Protect your skin from direct sunlight during the healing process.
Recently treated skin is more sensitive to UV damage.
Wear SPF Daily
Apply a broad-spectrum SPF 30 or higher every day once the skin is no longer irritated.
Sun protection is essential to maintain your results and prevent pigmentation issues.
Do Not Pick Or Peel
Mild dryness, roughness, or light flaking may occur as the skin renews itself.
Allow the skin to shed naturally without picking or scrubbing.
Stay Hydrated
Continue drinking plenty of water after treatment.
Hydration helps support skin healing and overall skin health.
Be Patient With Results
Many patients notice improved hydration, brightness, and skin glow within the first week.
Collagen stimulation and skin remodeling continue for several weeks after treatment, with ongoing improvements in skin texture, tone, and overall quality.
A series of treatments may be recommended depending on your skin concerns and treatment goals.
